First Annual Chicago CP Awareness Day
As a joint effort between the Life Center at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, CP Registry and RFTS Chicago, March 12th, 2010 marked the first ever CP Awareness Day in Chicago. Held at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, in Downtown Chicago. This event included a ballet demonstration, given by Dr. Citlali Lopez-Ortiz and her group of dancers, information from the CP Registry and Dr. Gaebler about how important research is for CP, and how to get more involved. And our final highlight of the day was a young adult panel. This Panel included 5 strong young men and women who live independently every day, and have CP. Dr. Gaebler, ran this panel asking these young people about their lives. We thank them very much for letting us take an intimate peek inside their lives. And thank you so much to all that attended the event.
